Picture this: you’re at home, curled up on the sofa with your partner, and they say something that would be absolutely incomprehensible to anyone else – but not you. You instantly understand it, and you both collapse in helpless giggle fits. In this moment, you’re overcome with affection for them.
That’s the feeling a Giddy & Gay ceremony is trying to recreate: a cosy sense of pure joy that makes your head spin. Think of it like a ceremony blanket fort, warm and snug and woven from all the threads of your relationship. As your wedding celebrant, I’ll help you build a ceremony filled with your in-jokes and memories, bursting at the seams with love.
LGBTQ-inclusive celebrant services
I know weddings and marriage can mean many different things to LGBTQ+ people. Giddy and gay, yes, for sure! But it can also be complicated and confusing and hard to navigate, when you’re faced with lots of expectations that might not necessarily feel like what you want, and a wedding industry that still has a long way to go when it comes to being truly inclusive of LGBTQ+ people.
As your celebrant and as a queer person myself with my own experiences of getting married and being part of the wedding industry, I can be here for you through all of it, and help you figure out what’s right for you.

Your own garden or living room? Yes! Your favourite park under your favourite tree? We can do that! On a beach by the rolling waves, in a secluded woodland glade that looks like it could be a portal to the fairy realm... A celebrant-led ceremony can take place wherever your heart leads you!

Any WORDS you want
Not a bride or groom, and not going to be a husband or a wife? I get it! Want to quote your favourite author or poet or movie scene? I love it! There's absolutely no required wording in a celebrant-led ceremony - we can build the whole thing from scratch and make sure all the words in it make sense for you and your relationship. We'll refer to you with whatever words make you the most comfortable.

Any WAY you want
Handfasting? I had one in my own ceremony and I would love to do that for you! You can plant a tree, mix a cocktail, create a time capsule... There are so many symbolic elements out there – I can help you find one that's right for you and add it to your ceremony. Love D&D and want to roll for initiative to decide who goes first with the vows? I am SO ready (I have the Alert feat, baby!)

A Giddy & Gay Guide to Wedding Ceremonies to give you plenty of tips and ideas to kick off your ceremony journey
A love story questionnaire which you’ll fill out separately so I can find out all your juicy relationship secrets and what makes you giddy about each other
Ceremony deep-dive meeting (in person if possible!) where we’ll plan your dream ceremony down to every little detail
An original & bespoke ceremony script including any symbolic rituals you want to include – based on everything you’ve told me, I’ll get to work crafting a swoonworthy script which tells your story exactly the way you deserve to be seen and celebrated
Making tweaks and edits – I’ll send the draft script to you and we can make any changes we need so you’re completely happy with it
Support with any bits of the script/ceremony – writer’s block with your personal vows? Trouble finding that perfect reading? Want to incorporate your cultural traditions or tailor the ceremony to meet accessibility needs? I’m here for you!
A rehearsal if you’re having one in London (within the M25) – if not we will do a final check-in either virtually or in person before the day to go over logistics and practise any action-filled bits such as handfasting
Being there for you on your special day – your date is exclusively booked for you. I’ll get there at least 1 hour early to make sure the ceremony space is set up properly, and I’ll officiate your Giddy & Gay ceremony with warmth and love!
Travel within 50 miles of my home in Southwest London – if your location is outside of this, I’ll discuss additional travel costs with you during our initial chat. If your location is more than 2.5 hours’ travel from me, there may also be a charge for overnight accommodation.
